Services
At Word Write for Success, we understand that each client’s
needs will be different. For starters, it depends on the document type
and your purpose for writing – who will be reading the document
and what outcomes are you seeking? For this reason, we will tailor our
service specifically to your document.
In our experience, we find documents fall into two main categories, either requiring general proofreading and light editing or moderate to heavy editing. Some of the key indicators of each are listed below:
TYPE ONE – Proofreading and Light Editing
- occasional spelling errors
- occasional grammatical errors
- typographical mistakes
- missed/incorrect punctuation marks
TYPE TWO – Moderate/Heavy Editing
- revision/addition of sentences
- confused order/re-ordering required
- inconsistent verb usage (tenses or subject/verb agreement)
- incorrect vocabulary usage
- incorrect punctuation throughout document
- paragraphing
- frequent spelling errors
- frequent grammatical errors
Our Rates page provides a cost breakdown for each of the two service types. You will be advised at quotation stage as to which type your document most resembles and we will quote accordingly. In addition, you can select from a 24 hour or 48 hour document turnaround. Take the worry out of ‘getting it right’. Contact us with your
specific document needs.
Here are some common scenarios for which we can provide solutions:
Scenario One – Light Editing (TYPE 1)
YOUR CHALLENGE:
You have written a document and you know it says just what you want
it to say, but you’re not confident that the spelling or punctuation
is ‘spot-on’. You have important information to be communicated
and you don’t want your reader distracted by any grammatical
errors.
WORD WRITE FOR SUCCESS SOLUTION:
We take it step by step through your document, identify and correct all of the spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. You can be assured that the finished product will make a fantastic impression on your reading audience. |

Scenario Two – Final Proofread (TYPE 1)
YOUR CHALLENGE:
You have a document which you have spent a lot of time and effort creating. You’re about to go public with it and, while you are pretty satisfied it says what you need it to say, you’re not certain it’s perfect. You need the document to make an excellent impression, because your business could be adversely affected if clients spot mistakes (they might think incorrectly that it reflects on the job you will do for them).
WORD WRITE FOR SUCCESS SOLUTION:
We go through your document with a set of ‘fresh eyes’
and a fine tooth comb and identify those tiny little errors. You
know the kind – a simple misspelling or a missed word happens easily when you are tired and under pressure. Everyone, even those
who write for a living, needs another person to check their work
for them. |

Scenario Three – Structural Editing (TYPE 2)
YOUR CHALLENGE:
You are known as a great ideas person, but when it comes to expressing them clearly in written form, you become frustrated. You are unsure about layout and structure of your document. You don’t want to confuse your reader, especially when you need a great result from this piece of writing.
WORD WRITE FOR SUCCESS SOLUTION:
We read your document focusing on logical flow and provide written feedback about how you can restructure your document for optimal results. For example, your paragraphs might need to be rearranged or we could suggest an additional linking sentence to enhance flow. You can be assured the document we send back to you will be crystal clear. |

Scenario Four – The Deluxe Treatment (TYPE 2)
YOUR CHALLENGE:
You don’t have a specific concern, but you do care about being
clear and correct and you’d like a second opinion to ensure
your document is second to none.
WORD WRITE FOR SUCCESS SOLUTION:
We’ll check through your document for all aspects –
spelling, punctuation, grammar and structure, as well as doing a
final proofread – and we’ll provide you with advice
to make your document the best it can be! |
